makeup tips for winter 2012

Hey girlys! first I just want to send my prayers and thoughts out to all of the children and teachers that lost their precious lives this weekend. So so sad, I couldnt even image. So just a little prayer to them..

On a lighter note, I was some Winter makeup tips for everything from christmas partys - work partys - family gatherings - church - new years etc!

-BOLD BROWS!
Confidence is sexy right? Well what says confidence for than bold eye brows?! You may not like it, but trust me almost every girls looks hot with their eye brows colored in perfectly!

-ROSEY CHEEKS!
Its winter, not need to be "natural" anymore.. add a little blush to those cheekbones and out the door you go. Its quick, cute and can make any face look replenished and refreshed.

-RED LIPS!
I know it seems as if the red lips are a fall type of thing but they really are a classy essential when trying to look like a sofisticated women! Be powerful, and definitly be bold.

-WING YOUR EYELINER!
This can sometimes look trashy or cute, depending on how much you wing it. Just try for a little clipped wing at the end, not a long to-your-eyebrow wing! The less the best!

-PURPLE LIPS!
I know, I know.. sounds a little odd. Im not trying to make you look like barney but a deep violet lip looks great on anyone, especially brunettes! Try it, you might like it.

-TURQUOISE LINER!
Blondes.. this is for you laddys! Especially if you have green eyes. The blue makes them pop and become VERY noticable!

-SMOKEY EYES!
anything from browns scales to black scales.. smokeys are a go-to for this season! Try them out you might like them! Check out my tutorials on how to do smokey eyes as well!

I hope you enjoy and take these tips into consideration when getting ready for your next event! LOVE YOU ALL!!! XoXo CeCe Marie! <3

HAPPY HOLIDAYS ALSO :)

Hey ladies! So for the past couple of weeks I have been wearing VERY little makeup to try to clear my face up completely to do a face wash review and I also decided to review a face mask as well for you. So I started by not wearing any foundations and only face powder and blush, after I cleared my face I tried the Clearasil Daily clear oil free wash. It was about 5 dollars and I got it at Walgreens. The first couple of days, I was washing my face 2 times a day, and the face wash started to dry out my skin, than It clicked to me, it’s an oil-free face wash.. Meaning its taking out the oils NOT made with oils. Haha, so after that dilemma I stopped washing 2 times a day and only washed before I went to bed instead. After a couple of weeks I started to see a difference in the way my face felt. It was more soft but the little acne spots were not going away (mind you I don’t have that big of a deal with acne as it is) and I did notice that I was be gaining to break out on the side of my face and on my forehead. So I tried to wash more in depth and it still was not going away, than my mom picked up a green tea face wash from Wal-mart for like $2 and asked me to try it out for her (she didn’t want to do it first.. ). So that I did! I put the mask on and took it off after liked 3 or 4 minutes and my face was EXTREMELY soft, like a baby’s bottom soft! …….I woke up the next morning with 2 brand new pimples and a rash of acne on the side of my face! So I HIGHLY recommends that you do not use these washes if you have clear skin or skin that doesn’t really break out. I noticed that with natural made masks my skin doesn’t react as much as regular company made masks, so I really hope that if you have beautiful skin don’t destroy it with the companies masks, and make homemade ones, and if you do have acne than use the company and or natural masks to clear it up than continue on with natural masks. So that’s my little dilemma I have had. For the wash, I wouldn’t typically pick something that right off the shelf like that but I saw a review online and decided to try it out for myself and come to find out my skin is different. Maybe its just me or maybe it’s the wash but I wouldn’t give either of them a good review, just because of the dramatic change I saw from clear skin to irritated skin! Now I see why they say, “Never try to fit into anyone else’s skin.. it’s always different” haha. Love you all! -XOXO CeCe Marie!

Hey ladies, so while I was cleaning my brushes lately I wanted to help remind you guys how to do is correctly and kind of on the money saving side too! It’s fairly simple to do and doesn’t require a lot of time or effort but it’s no where near as effective as deep cleaning. When it comes to cleaning there are brush cleaners out there but they seriously disgusting. THe basic ingrediant is seriously ALCOHOL! (no, ladies.. were not tipping wine glasses and washing our brushes) ;) But dont get me wrong, there are very good cleaneers out there like M.A.C cosmetics Brush Cleaner and BeautyPro Brush Cleaner! For cleaning your brushes I really suggest you do it after EVERY use., even if youre in a rush like me, try to do it before every use at least! Specifically for cream, liquid and gel products or if you are switching up colours! You only have to clean there at least once a week for like blushes, powders etc. Eyeshadow brushes should be cleaned after every use though! To do it, spray (i put this in a travel sized like spray bottle, like those hairspray ones) and i just spray it on the bristles, than wipe them back and forth until the color dissapears. remember that this is just a spot clean and not a super intense cleaning, dont expect this to substitute for your intense cleaning habits! Love you all! Xoxo- CeCe Marie <3

This weekend I did a little shopping for myself last night and picked up a few cute little makeup products that I am so-so about! First item I grabbed was a victorias secret press powder medium 20! (i had a $10 coupon) and I tested it out this morning before I left to go out and about and I must say it is pretty light weight, it sticks to my skin fairly.. a little messy but you dont get the amount that you pay for it ($24) but its a nice little "in your makeup bag" item, i never really get a kick out of victorias secret makeup... even their eyeshadows are super messy and obnoxious at times but I really like this press powder a lot! The other item I picked up was the bare minerals blemish therapy.. I havent tried it out yet because Im currently testing out a face product for a review for you all.. but If anyone has this or had it will they please let me know how it works? I look forward to using it but If you have any reviews let me know because I payed a little on the expensive side for it! Thank you! <3 Love you all, xoxo CeCe Marie! <3

If you have a smart phone and youre looking for some good beauty apps! Heres 2 I found on my iPhone that I absolutely adore! They are just basic apps that I rely on when shopping or comparing makeup when Im shopping! So helpful for the mommies out there Christmas shopping too ;)! The first app is "Beautylish" for this app it does require an account which is supper quick to make! It is almost like a pinterest for nails, hair, makeup etc! It also shows videos on how to do them too! So if you see any you like, let me know and ill do a tut! It keeps you up to date on beauty trends too! SO COOL!!! Just a nice little "go to" when youre up and bored and looking for something to do! The next app is "Makeup Alley" and you type in a product, the brand and the category and it searches for it and then gives you reviews on all the products, from drug stores to top shelf stuff! You can also click on your skin tone, type and age range and it will give you all the ratings for if the product is good for your skin or not!! Check them out and tell me what you think about them or if you try any of them! Love you all! CeCe Marie!! ♥
